The Personalised Walking Service

walk with me

Taking steps to better health

I provide a service for people who would like assistance to get out and about. If you, or someone you know, struggles to get out for a variety of reasons whether it's physical or mental health, I may be able to offer some assistance.

I enable people to become more confident with walking in their local environment, by supporting them to develop the skills they need, to become independent wherever possible.

Prawle point to the Look out

The walk starts at Bolberry car park (£3 a day near to Oceans Restaurant) and ends at the Beach House Cafe at Thurlestone Beach. The path is undulating but not too challenging and follows the South West Coast Path. Today there were bluebells which I was not expecting. The gorse was in full flower and the air smelled strongly of its fragrance (which I think smells of coconut). The air was also full of flies, St Marks flies, I have never seen so many, but they were going about their business and didn’t bother us. The male sky larks could be heard overhead singing their beautiful song as we walked. We spotted an Oil beetle on the path, it was giving a ride to a cardinal beetle, they bite the oil beetles to get the cantharidin, which somehow protects them. We had a coffee and brownie at the beach House before turning around and heading back to Bolberry. The whole route took 3 hours and we covered 10km.
